Is marriage a gamble.... of happiness?

Sj came across this blog in the forum and after reading her blog I admire her at the same time I pity her... What is she going to do with her child? And really hate what her husband had did to her... leaving her alone now to raise their seed of "love"... her story is one of the many stories I heard from friends, etc... and all these makes me wonder do we need to get married?

Why can't we just be together when happy and break off when you don't love each other for the rest of your life? Why want to settle down with a person? And will that person be the right one? How do you know he/she is the right one to settle down with?? These questions have always been in my mind when I see someone getting married... till now I have no answers to that... so if one day I do receive the question: "Will you marry me?" I wonder what is my reaction and response... wahhahaa

Anyway, this month and next month, two couples will walk down the red carpet and enter their new phrase of life. One will be my friend Ailing, who met her husband a year ago and guess everything is right for both of them during this one year that they decided both of them is meant for each other. Another one will be my uncle's daughter and my primary school classmate who claim that he has a crush on my during school days. Guess its a small world, wahhaha. Nevertheless, I would like to wish both couples,
